2001 – Homepage

2001: The next version of the homepage was a major redesign. We moved the portal-like layout and content inside to the second-level pages, providing simple, basic information on the homepage that lead visitors to more detailed information. The rollovers next to the categories were live links. We still have the daily headlines, plus we added daily events and a link to the new University Calendar. The main photo changed each time you reloaded the page, and we added the horizontal navigation bar, which featured links to the most requested pages. We later added the weather icon below the search box.
