The Division of Animal Care approached us about migrating their site from a Drupal installation to Omni. They were hosted with an external vendor and had been working with a third party design and development firm. They had numerous issues both with using Drupal and with authenticating through VUnetID. We moved them in-house onto Vanderbilt’s...
Web Communications built a new website for the University Registrar in WordPress, which launched December 28, 2010. It was the first redesign and redevelopment for the site since 1997! Staff had been manually maintaining their website using Dreamweaver. We migrated all of the current pages over to WordPress, cleaned up the navigation and added search functionality...
The Cal Turner Program for Moral Leadership in the Professions recently launched a website using Omni. The site includes Flickr photos from their New Orleans Immersion trip. On December 15, the MLK Series launched a WordPress site with a schedule of events, ways to get involved, and resources to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King. Event highlights include a city-wide MLK March, Teach-ins, and a keynote speech by civil rights leader Julian Bond.
Partnering with the Undergraduate Admissions office, we updated two of their blogs with the Vanderbilt WordPress theme (blog version). The two blogs are highlighted on the admissions homepage – as well as in the righthand column on each page of the admissions website. The Admissions Office uses these to provide a personal “mouthpiece” for Vanderbilt....

The commencement website has been updated for the Class of 2011. It’s hard to believe preparations are already in full swing for Commencement in May 2011. This site is built in WordPress – and has the VU Brand Bar at the top… a couple php/mysql functionality bits… small e-commerce section for sales of THE PARTY...
Issues in Critical Investigation (ICI) is an initiative that seeks to stimulate new scholarship in the fields of African Diasporic studies. The new website highlights ICI’s Manuscript Competition, which awards money and the opportunity for a book contract to young scholars.

Vanderbilt Nurse magazine has launched a new WordPress site, focusing on news around the school. It also includes feeds from their Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts – information specific to the School of Nursing. We went with WordPress for them because it offers robust tagging – an important feature in such a news-heavy site. The...
